When you are comfortable

and relaxed in familiar surroundings, as opposed to being distracted by the unnatural process of being photographed in a studio, you become the perfect subject - you. Where possible, therefore, I photograph people in an environment that is entirely natural to them. My aim is to capture the true essence of my subjects.

I prefer to photograph portraits in natural light. Where additional lighting has to be used, I try to keep it to the bare minimum. I will always discuss and agree locations with you in advance, and will make a preliminary assessment of all locations, to anticipate lighting and logistical limitations.

You will also be guided on suitable clothing, before the shoot.
